Questions

What people ask first.

Straight answers about the project, the house, and how we're funded.

Are you taking residents yet?

Not yet. We're raising the funds to open our first house in Clarksville. Join the founding list to hear first when we start accepting referrals.

Is it really free for veterans?

Yes. No rent, no program fees, no deposit. The house is paid for by bed sponsors, donors, community partners, and, over time, grants.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Not yet. We're forming the nonprofit and applying for 501(c)(3) status, and we won't accept donations until that's in place. Pledges on the founding list help us show funders the community is behind this.

Why only eight beds?

Tennessee treats a home with eight or fewer residents in recovery as a single-family home. It's also the right size to know every resident well. We'll add houses once the first one is working.

Who can live in the house?

Male veterans of any branch and any discharge status who are committed to sobriety and ready to work a written stability plan. Residents in medication-assisted treatment are welcome when following their prescribed plan.

Will you publish the address?

No. To protect residents' privacy, we'll share the location with referral partners and residents only.

How do I reach you?

Email contact@servicetostability.org, call 931-324-4070, or write to 131 Dean Dr PMB #755, Clarksville, TN 37040. That is our mailing address, not the house.

What about women veterans?

Our first house will serve men, because mixed housing needs separate space we can't fund yet. A house for women veterans is part of our phase 4 plan.

Need housing now?

Call the VA's National Call Center for Homeless Veterans at 877-424-3838, any time. They connect veterans to local VA housing programs. In a crisis, call 988 and press 1, or text 838255.
